JRR Electrical Ltd (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect and why
When you use our contact form, call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, phone number, email address and a description of the work you need. We use this information only to:
- respond to your enquiry and provide quotes;
- arrange and carry out electrical work you've asked for;
- issue certificates, invoices and records we're required to keep.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to enquiries you've made) and, once work is agreed, performance of a contract. Some records (such as invoices and electrical certificates) are kept to meet legal obligations.
What we don't do
- We don't send marketing emails or newsletters.
- We don't sell or share your details with third parties for marketing.
- This website doesn't set tracking or advertising cookies.
Who we share it with
Your details are only shared where necessary to do the job — for example with NICEIC for notifiable work certification, with building control, or with the government scheme administrator if you claim an EV chargepoint grant. Enquiry emails are processed by our email provider (Microsoft Outlook).
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed work (quotes, invoices, certificates) are kept for 6 years, in line with legal and insurance requirements.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict our processing of it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email JRRElectrical@outlook.com. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
